Essentials Webinar Series is a programme of 1.5-hour webinars – broadcast live – providing expert specialist clinical training and essential information. These webinars are recorded live and are available for delegates to access freely for six months from the webinar date.
People with a learning disability have worse physical and mental health than those without. On average, life expectancy of women with a learning disability is 18 years shorter than for women in the general population. Life expectancy of men with a learning disability is 14 years shorter than for men in the general population. The GP has a key role in the patient journey.
This online webinar will provide an overview of early years and annual health checks.
There will be case studies and interactive content throughout the webinar series. There are three webinars in the series.
- Ensure you will be equipped with relevant knowledge and skills.
- Be able to recognise shortfalls when presented with wider social issues in employment and education, lack of funding and resources, lack of mainstream and specialist services, and accessibility concerns.
- Empower clinicians to empower patients and their families.
