The MERIT™ programme consists of 2 complementary elements:

Meeting Educational Requirements – A flexible, classroom-based education course designed to provide delegates with the theory required to support diabetes management.

Improving Treatment – The provision of tailored clinical support in order to help delegates consolidate the theory into practice following completion of a MERITTM course.

  • Clinical support is designed to support the module that has been undertaken. This service by a specialist nurse resource (either via the Community Diabetes Nursing team or a Novo Nordisk Diabetes Education Nurse facilitator) is not a mandatory part of MERIT™ but is useful for providing practices with an over-view of their current diabetes care and to highlight patients who may require clinical intervention.

This course provides 3.5 CPD credits

Both elements of the course are awarded a course certificate. Completion of the clinical mentorship will demonstrate clinical impact. For GPs and Nurses single CPD points are awarded for this course.

Light refreshments – drinks and biscuits will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own lunch.

If you would like to participate please e-mail your response to srpn@novonordisk.com stating name, designation and practice address.
