We know that the first 5 years of practice after obtaining the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) is an exciting time putting learning into practice but it can also be full of challenges as you adjust. Here are some opportunities available to you.
We have developed a suite of training and education programmes to support our First 5 GPs within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough region.

Post CCT GP Fellowships
Health Education England’s (HEE) Post CCT GP seeks to support newly qualified and First 5 GPs transition into their first few years of general practice.
Cambridgeshire and Peterborough are actively engaged with this national scheme. Once the next round of recruitment has been released, further details will be posted in due course.
Next Generation GP
Next Generation GP is aimed to support and encourage the development of emerging leaders and future ‘change-makers’ in GP trainees and early career GPs (first 5-7 years) with an interest in health policy and the wider NHS.
In 2018 we supported up to 50 new leaders on a local Cambridge programme and we are seeking to support another cohort in 2019.

Members can benefit from access to mentors, networking, and education. For full details can be found here: https://www.rcgp.org.uk/First5
