We are pleased to announce that the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area has been selected as the next area to have access to the Safer Consulting in Minor Illness training course.

It is an amazing course in which you will learn the skills taught to GPs, changing the way you approach minor illness. It outlines a systematic process for symptom assessment, including judging clinical risk, appropriate safety netting advice, medical note-taking and making referrals to other healthcare professionals.

There are a limited number of places left on this course.  Please do not apply if you cannot commit to completing the 15 sessions and attending the locality training.

Application Process

Interested pharmacists should e-mail England.EastPharmacyLPNs@nhs.net providing their full name, contact details, the name and address of the pharmacy in which they regularly work.

The LPN will notify Anglia Ruskin University of the pharmacists to be enrolled who will then each receive an email with an activation link. When they click on this link they will be directed to the platform and asked to set up a password. The next time they visit the platform they will be able to login by using their email and password and can then access the material and start the training. The LPN chairs will work with the CCG and LPC to co-ordinate groups of pharmacists to attend the locality-based evening training session(s).
