Understanding Blood Results

This e-learning course has been designed to provide an introduction to understanding blood results. The course gives learners a basic awareness of key tests, disease relevance and demonstrates the need to link tests and organs to better interpret the result.

The course is aimed at nurses and allied health professionals requiring an understanding of blood results. The course would also be of value to students and patients wishing to know more about their blood tests.

Course content:

  • Full Blood Count (FBC)
  • Urea & Electrolytes (U&Es)
  • Coagulation
  • Thyroid Function Tests (TFTs)
  • Liver Function Tests (LFTs)
  • Bone Profile
  • Chronic Disease Management
