Local RCGP members & GP, Dr Becky Foljambe who is founder of Health Professionals for Safer Screens will be leading a talk on the impact excessive smartphone and device use has on children & young people. Daniel Hardiman-McCartney MBE & Sandra Chappells will also outline the strong evidenced issues on sight, speech and lanuage.

Health Professionals for safer screens ambition is to present the need for adopting the precautionary principle to protect children from the harms of excessive screen and social media use, and to help our colleagues understand that smartphones and screens are negative health determinants for children of a young age.
