Our Aspire programme is designed for colleagues who are ready to build their confidence, develop new skills, and explore what leadership could look like for them. This programme offers the opportunity to grow in a supportive and inclusive environment and is open to those working in general practice and across neighbourhood partner health and care organisations.

Building the relationships, influence and system leadership needed to deliver integrated neighbourhood health

Are you ready to lead change rather than simply respond to it? If you a leader who is finding yourself needing to make sense of neighbourhood working, system reform and the direction set by the NHS 10-Year Plan, you’re not alone. As neighbourhood working continues to develop, leaders are increasingly being asked to work differently, bringing people together around shared priorities, building partnerships and creating solutions that improve outcomes for local communities. Transforming Together through Leadership has been designed with these leaders and managers in mind and is open to those working in general practice and across neighbourhood partner health and care organisations.

We recognise that leadership skills are fundamental to the positive growth and performance of all organisations, and good leaders are able to motivate, support and retain staff, which for general practice, means a more consistent provision of care to our patients. We are delighted to offer a grant towards a programme of leadership study for current or new leaders within practices and PCN’s.

NHS England has launched the new NHS College of Leadership and Management, alongside the NHS Leadership and Management Framework, marking a significant step towards strengthening and professionalising leadership and management across the NHS.

If you want to feel more able to deal with the daily challenges of working in healthcare, better equipped to care for patients, lead services and provide leadership for those around you – supporting them to do their job better – the Edward Jenner programme is for you.

Designed with health and care staff, for everyone working in a health and care context, the programme is highly practical, patient-focused and a great way to understand the purpose, challenges and culture of the NHS.

The Mary Seacole programme is a six month leadership development programme which was designed by the NHS Leadership Academy in partnership with global experts, Korn Ferry Hay Group, to develop knowledge and skills in leadership and management.

The Rosalind Franklin programme will support you to become outstanding innovators, leaders, and team members working across the health and care system, to help improve services for people and communities that access them. The programme is 9 months long with eight workshop days and you’ll be expected to commit approximately four to five hours a week to study

This three-week course brought to you by the Leadership for Personalised Care team has been developed via the FutureLearn platform. It will give you an introduction to the meaning and importance of personalised care and equip you with the tools you need to be an effective leader.
