Coaching & Mentoring Training

Training Hub is committed to developing coaches and mentors in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough by providing a programme of quality coaching and mentoring training.

Coaching and mentoring is a key professional development tool to support adult reflective learning. It is used in leadership development, and to support senior managers and clinicians throughout the NHS and to assist the primary care workforce to grow and develop.

Coaching is a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires individuals to maximise their personal and professional potential. It helps to boost morale, increase motivation, engage enthusiasm, reduce levels of stress, improve self-confidence and performance and encourage a more proactive approach to addressing issues and making decisions.

In Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, coaching is currently offered through our network of CPTH coaches and also via the NHSE/I Looking After You service.

Who is Coaching & Mentoring Training for?

Coaching and mentoring training is for those who:

  • are working with staff/learners/patients and want to have better conversations
  • want to develop skills in coaching and mentoring personally, to enhance their clinical, managerial and educational work
  • may want to become a coach/mentor as part of their portfolio career

What are the training options?

Our Coaching & Mentoring Training Programme is continually developing. Current opportunities are below.

ILM 5 Coaching & Mentoring Training for GPs

The ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching & Mentoring, designed and delivered by Grow Development Solutions Ltd, is a highly engaging and interactive programme, which provides many opportunities for participants to develop their coaching skills, through practical sessions.

The programme is designed for those with significant responsibility for effective coaching and mentoring as part of their daily role within an organisational context, to connect with newly qualified and less experienced peers and to help them embed into the local general practice environment and become an integral part of the local primary care team.

Cohort 3 of the programme is now underway. Keep an eye on this page for future cohorts.
