Often CPD is focused on guidelines, latest medical developments, and research, on Clinical Knowledge Summaries. Of course, this is essential learning, but is it what drives us in our work?
As a local first five group we wanted to provide something a little different. A session where you couldn’t obtain the same learning simply by googling it. We wanted to explore what makes being a GP meaningful and beautiful: The social, emotional and spiritual challenges of our day to day work and the bigger picture of general practice.
The Clinical Wisdom Summaries is a new series of fireside interviews with local senior and recently retired GPs to explore what a career in GP has meant to them, what they have learnt and what they wished they had known when they first started.
The sessions are open to all Cambridgeshire & Peterborough GPs in the first 5 years of practice and will be a great opportunity to get to know a wider local network of early career GPs.
The first event in the series is:
‘The Infinite Game of General Practice’ with Dr Cain Hunt
Tuesday 3rd August at 20:00hrs
For now these sessions will take place over Zoom, but we will be hopefully moving to F2F sessions in the future.
Please note that bookings for this event will close at 4.30pm on Tuesday 3rd August
