Effective communication using the SBAR tool
We communicate all the time, but we do not always seem to get the desired outcomes. In this module we will explore why that happens and what effect it can have, then introduce you to a tool that can help us to avoid miscommunication. We will demonstrate communicating using the SBAR tool, then consider some practical starting points for using the tool in practice.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to: –
- identify how we miscommunicate and what effects that can have
- describe the components of the SBAR communication tool
- practise using the tool
- identify and explore practical applications for SBAR in practice.
