Event Overview
What is bias and culture? How does it impact our interactions with patients and colleagues and cause healthcare inequalities? What can we do about it?
This interactive workshop will engage delegates to understand bias and outline how bias affects medicine from clinical interactions and research to healthcare policy using case scenarios.
As well as this we will cover the limits of one-off bias or cultural competency training and identify more helpful approaches such as Cultural Safety and healthcare co-creation which could improve healthcare inequalities.
