Dr Penny Hobhouse is a graduate from Liverpool Medical school. She completed her GP training in Peterborough. In her 30 years as a GP she has been a partner in 3 different Practices and also been salaried and worked as a locum. She has been lead partner for Safeguarding , Women’s health and the partner responsible for clinical staff. Other experience includes working as a Prison medical officer , GPwSI in Neurology , GP tutor, associate trainer and mentor.
Dr Richard Maddison has been working as a locum GP for the last 18 months and also has roles with the ICB, Training Hub and CPFT. Prior to this he worked as a GP Partner for nearly 10 years. Dr Maddison completed his medical training in London and moved to Cambridge for my Foundation Program and has worked in the area ever since.
Dr Sisi Chen graduated from Cambridge University and went on to Graduate Entry Medicine at Southampton University. After finishing her medical degree in 2010, she did a 2 year Academic Foundation Programme in Clinical Pharmacology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospital, followed by GP Training with West Cambridgeshire VTS. After qualifying in 2015, Dr Chen initially worked as a salaried and OOH GP for a year before becoming a locum GP, completing a Diploma in Occupational Health and started working as an Occupational Health Physician at Addenbrookes. In 2019, she became a GP Partner at the Grove Medical Practice and currently works 5 sessions as a GP partner, 2 sessions as an Occupational Health Physician and is also involved with the clinical school for adhoc medical student teaching.
Dr Izi Otobo is a GP Partner working in Ramsey. He has been a GP for 8 years but a doctor for 20 years, with a varied career to date. Dr Otobo joined the Royal Air Force in university with aspirations of becoming a trauma surgeon but as he matured the imagined glitz and glamour of the military surgery life lost some of its lustre. After getting married and having his first child, Dr Otobo decided to change direction from surgical training and started GP training in the West Cambs scheme in 2012, after a couple of years working as a locum ED registrar. He now tries to keep his work-life interesting by also working as a clinical lead for the ICB, as one of the directors at WCF, and working in OOH.
Dr Morooj Mohammad currently works as a portfolio GP. She works part time as a salaried GP and additionally works in a Sexual Health Clinic as a Specialist Associate Doctor. She has a specialist interest in women’s health and medical education. After qualifying as a GP, Morooj completed a clinical commissioning fellowship to gain further experience in Public health, leadership and management. Since then she has played an active role in promoting general practice as a career. In Cambridge, she has led the ‘First Five’ GP education evening meetings for her peers and is an RCGP ‘Bring baby’ facilitator. She regularly teaches and facilitates both medical and non-medical education events, and has recently completed her certificate in medical education. She is also involved in GP vocational training scheme teaching for GP registrars. Most recently she has joined the Akeso coaching operational board and is developing an interesting in coaching and mentoring.
