Ben is a Portfolio GP having tried on various GP roles since qualifying. He is the Chair of the BMA Sessional GP Committee representing salaried, locum and portfolio GPs across the UK. He is based in North East London and has a special interest in Emergency Medicine. Ben is also the Vice Chair of City and Hackney LMC as well as working as a local system lead for urgent and end of life care.
Dr Matthew Beddoe is a partner, trainer, PCN Clinical Director and a co-founder with his GP wife Surina Chibber, of the popular software My Locum Manager that gets GPs set up and working as locums. He has a keen interest in healthtech and My Locum Manager has been a Pulse Power 50 winner in 2017 and 2018 for supporting new GPs as locums and sessionals.
Jo is a GP in Cambridgeshire and has previously worked as a locum, a partner and a salaried GP. Jo currently works as a GP retainer. Her additional roles are as a committee member of Cambridgeshire LMC and as a presenter with the Red Whale ‘Lead, Manage,Thrive’ team. Jo lives with her family, their dog and one stick insect in the centre of Cambridge. Jo really enjoys spending time outdoors in the green spaces around the city.
Emma began her NHS career in 2000 as Team Secretary, assisting in the local implementation of the Supplementary Lists in 2001 and the Performers List in 2004. By 2010, Emma was leading the Administration Team and in 2013 co-ordinated the local implementation of the National Performers List.
Moving to NHS England as Project Officer in 2013, Emma co-ordinated the Appraisal and Revalidation portfolio and progressed to Programme Manager (Performance Case Manager) in 2017, supporting practitioners through concerns, writing case reports and presenting cases to Panel meetings.
Emma joined Cambridgeshire LMC as Executive Officer in 2018 and with her Performers List and Performance background is passionate about providing positive advice and support to practices, Practice Managers and GPs.
Dr Katie Bramall-Stainer is Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire LMC, and the Deputy Chair of the UK Conference of LMCs. She qualified and worked as a salaried GP in London in 2008 before joining a partnership in 2010, and now keeps her hand in clinical practice as a retainer close to home in Hertfordshire.
Katie also represents all branches of the profession across the East of England as a member of the UK BMA Council, and her LMC Conference role gives her a seat on the BMA’s General Practitioners Committee, of which she has been a member since leading trainees in 2007.
Dr Zoe Norris is a portfolio GP in East Yorkshire. Having been a salaried GP and partner, she now locums for The Medical Chambers and runs the Hull Chambers group. She is Medical Director for Humberside LMC, and a GP appraiser. She is Clinical Director for Bridlington PCN and lectures for NB Medical GP Update courses. She has 2 children, a husband, a large fluffy dog called Baxter and permanent impostor syndrome.
Katie is a GP, lifelong learner and education enthusiast. Katie learns best from patients, colleagues, friends, mentors and appraisers: she likes to learn through listening, reading, incessantly questioning and, occasionally, from attending an odd course.
Katie is working with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Training Hub to support the amazing professional development which is embedded in every day General Practice.
Dr Karthiga Gengatharan has worked in Croydon as a GP for over 10 years. She is a Medical Director for the Surrey & Sussex Local Medical Committees and is the lead on Premises at SSLMCs.
Karthiga developed the Surrey and Sussex LMCs Maternity Coaching Workshops with Peer and Digital Support Networks to support GPs with a successful transition from maternity to the workplace. These multidisciplinary workshops demonstrated a novel approach to increasing confidence, resilience and feeling valued in a cohort at known risk of leaving General Practice. Karthiga is now working with GPC/ BMA on a parental leave handbook for General Practice.
Other roles include Chair of the Croydon Training Hub and Chair training in Coaching and Development. Karthiga has also worked as a Clinical Lead for Croydon CCG on a variety of clinical areas and also was the Clinical Network Lead for 7 years. She has two young children and enjoys baking and HIIT training sessions!
Dr Stephanie de Giorgio is a Portfolio GP working in East Kent. She has worked as a locum, salaried and partner within generalpractice and now works mostly as a GP in the ED at Margate Hospital. She runs Resilient GP with a team of colleagues and it is this that has made her recognise the importance of ensuring GPs remain well and dont burnout within the current system. She has therefore written and delivers courses on trying to prevent this both independently and on behalf of NB Medical.She also wrote and presents the womens health course for NB Medical and delivers the Hot Topics Update Course. She is GP Perinatal Mental Health Lead for NHSE along with Carrie Ladd and works on Obesity with EASO. She lives by the sea in with hertwo kids and GP Partner husband, and most importantly, the 4 cats!
