Event Overview

One Day Essentials are full-day online clinical conferences, available free-of-charge to all RCGP members, offering a minimum of 126 hours of CPD per year. All conferences are broadcast live and all session recordings and presentation slides are available to access from RCGP eLearning for up to nine months after the conference (we endeavour to upload content as quickly as possible after the conference, but it typically takes one to two weeks).

Join us on Monday 19 May 2025 for a one-day interactive online conference covering a range of clinical dermatology topics. 

We encounter a wide range of skin conditions affecting patients across all age groups, and our goal is to ensure that our discussions address the full spectrum of cases seen in primary care dermatology. This programme has been carefully crafted with primary care professionals and busy GPs in mind. The conference will focus on key dermatological topics, including nail, genital, and skin disorders. Additionally, it will address common presentations, management and diagnosis relevant to general practice.

  • Genital and vulval dermatology
  • Nail changes – common nail issues and when to refer
  • Scalp disorders
  • Emerging issues in primary care
  • Paediatric rashes

Learning objectives:

By the end of this conference, attendees will be able to:

  • Diagnose and initiate appropriate treatment for atopic eczema in adults and children
  • Understand the role of dermoscopy in general practice
  • Recognise and manage common vulval and penile skin conditions
  • Identify nail and scalp disorders commonly seen in general practice
  • Improve confidence in referral decision-making
  • Enhance the ability to diagnose, manage, and treat acne in primary care
