Aim
- To enable the student to consolidate their knowledge of wound assessment
- To enable the student to increase their knowledge in the use of these dressings according to the stage of wound healing
Learning Outcomes
The student will be able:
- To understand and be more confident in using appropriate dressing according to holistic and wound assessment
- To be confident in the use of the wound care formulary
Competency to be achieved with:
- Completing the session quiz /discussion
- Attending other TV courses and adding this session to the main competency document
- Working alongside an experienced nurse in wound care or tissue viability nurse
