An overview of alcohol awareness, how it may impact someone at work, and where to get support.

About this event

This session is open to those working in health, social care, the voluntary sector or not-for-profit sector in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

We know that drug and alcohol issues can affect anyone, and those involved in delivering health and social care services are not exempt from this. In fact there are reports of increased substance use by those working in health and social care as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This event will be facilitated by local experts in substance misuse support and will cover:

What is a unit of alcohol?
What are the risks associated with alcohol use?
How do I know if I/someone is drinking too much?
What are top tips for cutting down/managing alcohol?
How does someone get support for a problem with alcohol?
Facilitated by experts from CGL, providers of drug and alcohol services in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to learn more about alcohol misuse, when using alcohol becomes a problem and how this can impact people at work
