Aims & Learning Outcomes:

To enhance practitioners knowledge of domestic abuse and its effects on individuals, families, children and young people.

By the end of the training session participants will be able to.

  • Understand what is meant by the term domestic abuse
  • Consider the effect and impact of domestic abuse on children, young people and adults
  • Be aware of local services that are available to families experiencing domestic abuse

Target Audience:

Practitioners and Volunteers working with children and families who may be affected by domestic abuse. This course is only available for those who have previously completed Introductory Safeguarding Training, run either by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Safeguarding Board or their own agency.
