In this session Dr Emma Davies will discuss the reasons why patients take action against us, the impact complaints can have on our morale and potentially our professional welfare, and how to respond to them.  This will be an informative and case based presentation.  She will also touch on some specific issues around vexatious complaints and what to do when patients make personal remarks or become abusive in the context of a complaint. There will be time for a question and answer session at the end.
