Mizan Hoque, GP at Limetree & Sinnott Healthcare in London, will be sharing how his practice planned and implemented an innovative programme of web-based learning for local communities to get a better understanding of COVID-19. Working with local community groups, the programme has had contact with over 14,000 people in just six weeks. Below are examples of some of the positive feedback received from patients.
“Advice has been clear and supportive (aka not ‘scary’) and it is fantastic that the advice has been very much looking at the ‘whole’ person, rather than just the ‘medical’ side of things!”
“Great for patients to have information from somewhere they can trust as I can imagine it is a confusing picture out there if you watch too much news!’
Mizan will be joined by Rupa Joshi, GP at Woodley Centre Surgery in Wokingham, to discuss how the work has been developed further, to use virtual group-based consultations to explore COVID-19 related issues for specific patient groups.
