About this event

Hosted by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Partnership and facilitated by the Staff Support Hub.

The sensitive topic of Domestic Abuse is being covered in this series of webinars, aimed to inform and support those suffering from, or managing staff who may be suffering from this.

1 in 10 families will experience child to parent abuse, with most behaviours starting when the child is aged 12 or under.

Adult children can also abuse parents – 12.8% of domestic homicides involve an adult child murdering a parent.

Being abused by your child comes with a whole host of emotions – wanting to protect them but wanting the abuse to stop.

This webinar will look at how this type of abuse affects parents and care givers and how they can get support to keep themselves and other family members safe.

This session is open to all those working in health, social care, the voluntary sector or not-for-profit sector in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. These webinars will be kept completely confidential and will not be recorded.

Support will be made available for anyone affected by the issues being discussed. Please call our helpline 0808 801 0377, Monday-Friday, 11am – 7pm.
