This one day interactive theory and practical course, designed for GP’s at all stages of their career will cover the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions associated with the elbow, shoulder, wrist, hand and knee.
At the end of the course delegates should be able to:
- Demonstrate accurate and competent examination techniques of joints
- Identify and diagnose common articular and soft tissue disorders
- Identify safe and appropriate anatomical landmarks for soft tissue/joint injection
- Demonstrate safe and appropriate needle placement for a given presenting condition
- Describe post-injection aftercare including home exercises
- Recognise and manage adverse reactions and complications
