This GP education session is being delivered as part of the CPTH GP Education Programme. It is open to GPs and ACPs working in Primary Care in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

For this session, Alexis Fowler will be joining us for a talk on Common FBC abnormalities, aiming to cover the most common haematology queries from primary care – ‘liaison haematology’, MGUS/myeloma, CLL, general haematology (including anaemia, low platelets) and myeloproliferative disorders.

Alexis is one of six general haematologists working full time across both sites at NWAFT (Hinchingbrooke and Peterborough). She completed her undergraduate and junior doctor training at Imperial College and transferred to Cambridge to complete Core Medical Training. Alexis started Haematology training in 2009 at Addenbrookes and became a Consultant Haematologist at NAWFT in 2016. She covers the whole spectrum of acute inpatient and outpatient haematology care; with her main interest being malignant haematology; particularly myeloma and lymphoma.
