This education session is being delivered as part of the GP Fellowship Education Programme and is open to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough GPs who are enrolled on the GP Fellowship and ARRS GP Support schemes. Early career GPs who are within their first 5 years of practice are also welcome to attend.

This month we’ll be joined by Dr Tamara Keith for a session on Child Safeguarding, followed by small groups for those enrolled in the fellowship and ARRS GP programmes.

This session will be a presentation on the topic of child safeguarding particularly focusing on what may highlight a child safeguarding issue when an adult presents with a problem. We will review what is an adverse childhood event and how these impact a child and on into adulthood.

Speaker: Dr Tamara Keith graduated from Imperial College London in 2008 before embarking on Paediatric speciality training in London. After completion of MRCPCH exams she then completed her GP training in Cambridge. She is now a GP Partner at Bottisham Medical Practice, a member of the Cambridge and Peterborough LMC committee and a GP trainer. As a keen supporter of all things general practice she regularly appears on TV and radio explaining medical topics to the general public. She is child safeguarding lead at her practice and today it is in that capacity she is talking to you.

Please do bring any questions and cases to discuss.
