Overview

Through the GP bureaucracy review, NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I) and Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) have been actively reviewing practical changes to free up GP time, reduce admin burden and support smarter working.

In support of these aims, NHS Digital have been working with NHSE/I to improve and streamline how you sign into your IT systems.

We want to ensure that clinical and administrative staff in general practice both understand and are utilising the support and technology we are making available to help do this. This can help reduce the time spent with sign on and authentication to IT systems.

This forms part of our wider efforts to update and create services that offer simple, secure and speedy access to the information and data that matters to staff, whenever and wherever it’s needed.

The Identity and Access Management Service within NHS Digital, provides a trusted digital identity service for health and care staff that authorises access to health and care information systems. This authentication allows the health and care professional to log on and access those systems securely through a range of access options.

The event will cover:

  • the support and technology that is available to you now
  • the roadmap for future updates and services that offer simple, secure and speedy access to the information and data that matters to you, whenever and wherever you need it

The event is aimed at GPs, health care professionals and administrative staff. We hope you can join us for the event.
