Participants will hear from a group of General Practitioners, Medical Students and volunteer Patient Representatives who will be sharing their story of the BMJ Award Winning “Heroes Project” and how Elliott Hall Medical Centre in Pinner activated a huge number of community volunteers. The webinar will share the full story of the project from the outset in March 2020 throughout to the current day, where the community has played an important rollout in the Booster Vaccine rollout. Parts of the webinar will be delivered by community volunteers who will share how the project has made a difference to them as well as their suggestions for other practices looking to widen their community involvement. The webinar will conclude with breakout rooms, providing participants the opportunity to ask questions and share their thinking about which elements of their practices and settings would benefit from increased levels of community engagement and participation.
