School may be out for summer but we know there’s still appetite for learning, so join us at the Education for Health Summer School to develop your knowledge and skills. Scheduled for lunch times so they can be more easily accessed during your working day (or when the children are having a lunch break!), these interactive sessions offer ‘bite size’ learning that focuses on the topics most relevant to healthcare professionals working in primary care.

Focusing on integrating spirometry results with other clinical findings to develop comprehensive treatment plans, this session will use case studies and scenarios to support learners to:

Understand the Fundamentals of Spirometry:

  • Describe the basic principles and purpose of spirometry in assessing lung function.
  • Identify the key measurements and indices obtained from spirometry tests (e.g., FEV1, FVC, FEV1/FVC ratio)
  • Apply spirometry results in the diagnosis and management of respiratory conditions such as Asthma and COPD.

Please Note: All scheduled courses (unless clearly indicated) are delivered online using an Interactive Blended Online Learning Model. This includes a blend of live webinars, workshops and Q&A sessions with clinical tutors combined with eLearning and videos; all designed to enable participants to build the knowledge and skills needed to successfully complete their course.
