Join us for a one-hour restorative and relaxing online art session with Kimberley Lyemere, Arts Therapies Professional Lead.

About this event

The Art club provides restorative, relaxing and creative online art sessions for health and social care colleagues to express themselves creatively through art without an expectation of skill.

The facilitator, Kimberley Lyemere, Arts Therapies Professional Lead (Trust Wide), introduces a range of art mediums and mindful art exercises, art works by artists and a broad variety of subject matter and supports colleagues to innovate with materials that are inexpensive and easily sourced at home and from the natural environment. The art club is a supportive welcoming creative community.

One participant has given the following feedback: “This is the first time I have ventured into art and artistic expression. I’m enjoying immensely exploring and experimenting with art materials and styles. I love seeing what other group members are working on and noticing how we learn from each other. It has been good to have an opportunity to meet colleagues who I wouldn’t otherwise meet.”

Held via Teams, The Art Club will run at 6pm on Wednesdays for one hour, commencing Wednesday 6th April and Tuesday lunchtimes at 12:30pm, commencing Tuesday May 3rd.

This session is open to all those working in health, social care, the voluntary sector or not-for-profit sector in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
