Caring for people in the final period of their lives is a challenging and rewarding part of our work as GPs.

The course covers some of the key issues in palliative and end of life care in the community, including pain management, prescribing in the final days of life and holding the difficult conversations.

Free to EoE GP Trainees there will also be an opportunity to contribute to interactive sessions and group work to discuss recent or difficult cases.

The University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine (the Clinical School) is located, along with the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust sites of Addenbrooke’s and Rosie Hospitals, on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

The Cambridge Biomedical Campus lies to the south-east of Cambridge City Centre, just off Hills Road (which becomes the A1307 to Haverhill), and near to Long Road and Queen Edith’s Way. It is a short bus trip from the Railway Station and the City.
