Essentials Webinar Series is a programme of 1.5 hour webinars – broadcast live – providing expert specialist clinical training and essential information. These webinars are recorded live and are available for delegates to access freely for six months after the webinar date.

This series of two online webinars will look at assessing and managing women’s mental health before, during and after pregnancy. The programme will help all those who attend gain an understanding of recognising, treating and talking to patients about every aspect of mental health in all stages of the perinatal period.

Part 2 | How and what now?

This webinar will focus on the management of perinatal mental illness and the importance of an MDT approach when providing support.

  • Gain confidence in discussing the various pharmacological and psychological management options
  • Demystify common myths around antidepressant use
  • Understand how to respond to an acute mental health crisis during the perinatal period
  • Appreciate the roles of the MDT approach including support from the voluntary sector
