(PLT) Environmentally Sustainable General Practice
To facilitate protected learning time, this live webinar and Q&A session, will be accompanied by a discussion guide for practices to use on the day to support local action planning, and a set of links to online resources to provide further information and tools. All participants attending need to be book onto the event.
Overview
This peer-led webinar will be facilitated by Dr James Smith and is aimed at all members of the Primary Care Team (clinical and non-clinical).
Did you know the NHS in England has set a target of reducing our carbon footprint by 80% by 2032? Do you know where the biggest environmental impacts from general practice are and what we can do to reduce these?
In this webinar Dr James Smith will describe our environmental impacts and the clinical and non-clinical actions which can be taken to reduce these. He will also describe the NHS targets and policies as relevant to general practice. On the clinical side, prescribing, and in particular inhalers, are a key area of action while on the non clinical side buildings, travel and procurement are all important.
Resources
The discussion guide and links to online resources, information and tools will be made available to download via this page from 29th August.
