This education session is being delivered as part of the GP Fellowship Education Programme and is open to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough GPs who are enrolled on the GP Fellowship Scheme or who are within their first 5 years of practice.

This interactive session will cover:

  • Health beliefs play a role in good health. Indeed, the importance of exploring Ideas, Concerns and Expectations is widely recognised, yet these are not often viewed as a therapeutic target.
  • Harmful health beliefs may become a barrier to health, and it is possible for traditional concepts of medicine to become part of the problem.
  • The exploration of such complex ideas seems beyond the scope of 10-minute consults, but the inability to address the root cause of presenting problems can be frustrating for doctor and patient alike. Could podcasts be the answer? Can health be found beneath the ICE?

The session will take place via Zoom. After booking, you will receive joining instructions approximately 24 hours before the event.
