Loudmouth Theatre Company are coming to NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to deliver free face-to-face training on child exploitation followed by a presentation by the Victims Hub and finally an Introduction into the Home Office Serious Violence Duty Guidance (2022) which was launch in January 2023. This statutory guidance sets out what is expected of health and partner agencies to reduce/prevent violence locally using a public health approach. Staff are required to be able to recognise and respond to victims of violence and as part of NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough strategy, NHS staff are being offered this free training.

This free theatre programme teaches about a wide range of child exploitation issues including child sexual exploitation, exploitation into crime e.g. county lines and knife crime. The session contains two drama sessions delivered in a conference style:

  1. Working for Marcus – Sexual exploitation
  2. Under the Radar – Criminal exploitation

Loudmouth have a long history of working on child exploitation (CE) issues including Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and criminal exploitation such as County Lines. This powerful and thought-provoking training gives participants an insight into the real experiences of those affected by child exploitation, helping participants to spot signs of grooming and understand how they can help to protect and support children and young people.
