Red Whale GP Update

This RCGP accredited update is designed to get you up to speed with the latest evidence and guidance relevant to Primary Care and provides you with 3.5 CPD credits to help you meet the requirements for appraisals and revalidation.

The GP presenters summarise and discuss the results of the most important new evidence and guidance, concentrating on what it means to you and your patients in the consulting room tomorrow.

Delivered in a lecture based format, with plenty of time for interaction, humour and video clips, to keep you focused.

The topics covered will be varied, these will include:

  • B12 deficiency
  • The SIGN guidance on migraine and medication overuse headaches
  • COPD
  • PSA screening

 

The final sessions “Audience Choice” will be short sections of evidence based medicine to change practice

Each delegate will get a handbook (these will be delivered before the course) as well as some learning cases and guideline summaries on the day. In the inside cover of the handbook there is a user code to log on to the e-learning platform GPCPD, this contains all the articles in the paper handbook and loads more, there are over 500 articles on GPCPD. The code gives them 12 months access to this learning platform.
