The Victim and Witness Hub provides emotional and practical support to victims of, and witnesses to, a crime to help them cope and recover from the impact the crime has had on them, whether reported to the police or not. This support also extends to include bereaved relatives, parents or guardians of victims under 18 and members of staff where a business has been a victim of crime.
Victim and Witness Care Coordinators in the Hub will discuss the impact of the crime and develop a support plan that is tailored to the needs of the individual. They can offer a range of practical and emotional support but, if necessary, can also help the victim access support provided by other specialist organisations.
The Hub service also supports victims and witnesses to give their evidence at court, if this is required, keeping them up to date with the progress of their case and helping resolve any problems with getting to court or giving evidence.
In this webinar we will cover what support the service can offer, when a referral would be appropriate and how to refer to the Victim & Witness Hub.
