This webinar aims to help new link workers understand the basics of their social prescribing link worker roles within PCNs. It will be helpful if participants download the following publications before the session and have them to hand during the session:
PCN Reference Guide and technical annexe – https://www.england.nhs.uk/publication/social-prescribing-link-workers/
PCN Link Worker Welcome Pack – https://www.england.nhs.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/social-prescribing-link-worker-welcome-pack-web-2.pdf
Ahead of the webinar, we would welcome questions from new link workers around their role. If you have a question to ask, please send this in an email to england.socialprescribing@nhs.net with the title of your email as: ‘SP Webinar – Starting out as a Link Worker’ by no later than 4pm Tuesday 12th May. Your questions will then be compiled ahead of the webinar and the panel will aim to address these on the day.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Use the NHS England PCN Social Prescribing Link Worker Reference Guide and Link Worker Welcome Pack to guide your work
- Identify what learning and support opportunities are available to help you cope as a new link worker
- Recognise the expectations on PCNs in supporting new Link Workers
- Understand what they need to measure
