Event Overview
People with a learning disability have worse physical and mental health than those without. On average, life expectancy of women with a learning disability is 18 years shorter than for women in the general population. Life expectancy of men with a learning disability is 14 years shorter than for men in the general population. The GP has a key role in the patient journey.
This online webinar will provide an overview of role of primary care and community-based professionals.
There will be case studies and interactive content throughout the webinar series. There are three webinar in the series.

- Ensure you will be equipped with relevant knowledge and skills.
- Be able to recognise shortfalls when presented with wider social issues in employment and education, lack of funding and resources, lack of mainstream and specialist services, and accessibility concerns.
