The Strength Based Approach focuses on individuals strengths (including personal and community networks) and not their deficits. It is a holistic model that encourages the person supported by services and those supporting them to look at all aspects of the persons life to determine an outcome that draws on the persons strengths.
The training will focus on how we can incorporate strength-based conversations into our work, how to focus on the strengths of our clients and help them see the strengths they have. And, how we then build on clients strengths and social networks to improve their quality of life.
