Following the success of our recent webinars series on some of the key PCN roles (Pharmacist, FCP, Dietician), please join Tara Humphrey, MD of THC Primary Care and Luke Tate – Pharmacy Technician and Director of Primary Care Support Services to discuss the role of the PCN Pharmacy Technician.

About Luke

Luke has been qualified as a Pharmacy Technician since 2014 when he completed his training at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. Soon after he began working as a CCG medicines optimisation technician which saw him supporting a large number of GP practices with cost-effective prescribing recommendations and reviews. Two of his biggest achievements were being responsible for 32 GP practices and achieving savings of over £1 million in one financial year. He is now the Director of Primary Care Services, and together with his team, provides a variety of services, including medicines reconciliation, high-risk drug monitoring, prescription query resolution, medicine safety audits and support with income projects for practices and PCNs such as QOF, IIF and local Medicines Optimisation Schemes.
