Fellowship & Preceptorship Education Programme for Nurses

The monthly GPN Fellowship & Preceptorship education days usually take place on the second Tuesday of each month. (See Schedule of dates below.)

These will include clinical and non-clinical speakers on a range of topics. All fellows will be automatically booked onto these sessions, please advise us if you are unable to attend by emailing aimee.french@nhs.net

Standard Format for Fellowship morning: (confirmed agenda for each event will be published in schedule below)

09.30-10.20 Small group work – scenario discussions, practical clinical discussions
10.20-10.30 Coffee/comfort break
10.30-11.30 Clinical Lecture (expert Speaker, determined by Fellows)
11.30-12.00 Discussion / Q&A
12.00-12.10 Coffee/comfort break
12.10-12.40 Non-clinical lecture (expert speaker)
12.40-13.00 Round up / 1:1 with host
13.00-13.30 Lunch break
13.30-16.30 Clinical Supervision or planned e-learning

Training courses:

Immunisations: 3/4 March 2026 ( please undertake e-lfh immunisations ‘IMMS’ 7 short modules as pre-requisite for the 2 days )

Wound management: 24 March 2026 (must be undertaken prior to lower limb module)

Lower limb module: 5 days w/c 27 April 2026

Cervical cytology: 17/18 June 2026
