Complaints

Our Aim

Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Training Hub is committed to providing a quality service and working in an open and accountable way that builds trust and respect. One of the ways in which we can continue to improve our service is by listening and responding to the views of Primary Care staff and other stakeholders, and by responding positively to complaints, and by putting mistakes right.

We aim to resolve informal concerns quickly; respond to complaints promptly, politely and proportionately and take action to achieve resolution.

Procedure

We undertake to acknowledge your concern or complaint within 1 week and work to resolve the situation.  If we cannot resolve the situation to your satisfaction, then a formal complaint procedure will be instigated.

The Head of Training Hub will appoint an investigating manager.  You will receive a response based on the investigation within four weeks of the complaint being received. If this is not possible then a letter will be sent to explain why.

Appeal

If you are not satisfied with the response, you will have the option to appeal to the Head of Training Hub who will appoint a new investigating manager to review the process and the findings. While it cannot be guaranteed that a response will be given to all matters in the way you might wish, the Training Hub will work to handle the matter fairly and properly. By following the procedure, we hope to achieve this.  In some circumstances it may be necessary to a involve a third party to aid resolution.

Confidentiality

Except in exceptional circumstances, every attempt will be made to ensure that both the complainant and Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Training Hub maintain confidentiality. However, the circumstances giving rise to the complaint may be such that it may not be possible to maintain confidentiality (with each complaint judged on its own facts). Should this be the case, the situation will be explained to the complainant.
