This education session is being delivered as part of the GP Fellowship Education Programme and is open to Cambridgeshire and Peterborough GPs who are enrolled on the GP Fellowship and ARRS GP Support schemes. Early career GPs who are within their first 5 years of practice are also welcome to attend.

This month we’ll be joined by Dr Estee Lau for a session on Suicide Risk Management and Mitigation, followed by small groups for those enrolled in the fellowship and ARRS GP programmes.

This session will focus on improving understanding and confidence in recognising, assessing, and managing patients who are experiencing self-harm or suicidal thoughts. Drawing on clinical experience and evidence-based approaches, the talk aims to provide tools for safe, effective, and compassionate intervention.

Speaker: Dr Estee Lau is a local GP with a strong passion for mental health and suicide prevention. For the past three years, she has been working alongside MIND charity to deliver Suicide Awareness and Response Training to GP surgeries across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

Please do bring any questions and cases to discuss.
