Learning outcomes:
Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist Dr Emily Sehmer discusses the role of excessive screen use and gaming in the presentation of children to CAMHS clinics/ED and how to spot signs of issues in primary care. Rising concerns of the role of social media in psychosis and suicidal presentations in children will be also be discussed.
Dr Becky Foljambe will introduce the new resources from HPFSS and how these can be incorporated into clinical settings and consultations along with a discussion of some of the screening tools and possible interventions that are now being discussed around this important issue and its impacts on children.
