As communicated previously in the changes to the GP contract in 2026/27 letter, a new practice-level GP reimbursement scheme will be introduced to enable practices to recruit new GPs or increase the number of sessions from GPs already working in the practice.
The ICB is waiting for further guidance from the national team and will confirm next steps as soon as the guidance has been published.
NHS E plans to use the CQRS Local platform through which claims for reimbursement will be made, please see below for further information on the specific GP Reimbursement Scheme training which is available to walkthrough CQRS Local service functionality on screen:
- Training is open to all CQRS Local users including existing and newly onboarded Commissioners/Service Providers
- All sessions are the same and will be recorded so you have flexible options to suit your availability
- Specific training documents will be shared for additional support
