The 2026 GP Patient Survey will publish on Thursday 9 July at 9.30am. This official statistic, commissioned by NHS England, provides unique insight on patient experience of NHS primary care services.
In this briefing we will:
- Mark the survey’s 20th year with a brief look at how it has evolved over the years and how it works now
- Share the 2026 headline findings and how this has changed over the last three years – we will provide insights on mode of last contact, the NHS App and overall experience of GP practice, dentistry, pharmacy and out of hours services, highlighting differences by patient group
- Show how to compare results at national, NHS region, ICS, PCN and practice level
- Walk through where to find dashboards, downloadable data and guidance on using the data
