This GP education session is being delivered as part of the CPTH GP Education Programme. It is open to GPs and ACPs working in Primary Care in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.

This month we will be joined by Dr Fiona Clark for a talk on managing common conditions in children.

This GP teaching session will provide practical top tips for recognising and managing common conditions in children. It will cover musculoskeletal topics focusing on conditions such as scoliosis and abnormal gait patterns, together with abdominal conditions, including FPIES and constipation. Practical advice will be shared on assessment, management and when to seek specialist input.

Top tips include how to give advice regarding medications and motivating children to engage with treatment plans.

Overall, the session will provide useful, practical advice that can be applied to everyday clinical practice and increased confidence in recognising and managing common paediatric presentations.

Dr Fiona Clark has been a GP specialising in paediatric medicine at Granta for 25 years having previously been a Paediatric registrar.
