Practical guidance for all NHS staff working within Primary Care Networks, General Practice and Integrated Neighbourhood Team settings to identify, record, and support members of the Armed Forces community.

Key Highlights:

  • Community Definition – Regular Personnel, reservists, veterans and relevant family members (including the bereaved).
  • Primary Care Challenges – Registration at GP practice, continuity of care, transition from military to civilian healthcare, and understanding service-related health needs.
  • Identification & Recording – How can we identify members of the Armed Forces community, record this accurately within patient records, and use this information to inform and personalise care.
