Professional Nurse Advocates
Are you a nurse passionate about supporting colleagues? We are looking for nurses to work with the Training Hub as Professional Nurse Advocates (PNAs). You will be supported to undertake the PNA course and be paid a sessional rate to work with colleagues as part of our new support programme. We are particularly keen to hear from nurses who were educated outside the UK and have lived experience of the challenges experienced by those new to working in the NHS and living in the UK.

Placements in Primary Care
General Practice is particularly suited to supporting the development of healthcare students due to the wide range of learning opportunities and types of patient contact that take place in this clinical setting. It is also a great setting to support the development of staff and provide opportunities to upskill through many programmes.
CPTH Preceptorship for Newly Qualified Nurses
Our new CPTH Preceptorship for newly qualified nurses is a 24-month programme of funded CPD time, education, mentoring and peer support, designed to support the transition and integration into the workplace following completion of study. Cohort 1 commences on 1st October 2024 and applications close on 16th September.
CPD Funding for Education & Training for Nurses & Allied Health Professionals
The Training Hub is committed to ensuring all staff in General Practice have equal access to learning and development opportunities to support the requirements of Primary Care. This includes a commitment to ensure every nurse and allied health professional (AHP) has access to the £1000 personal continuing professional development (CPD) budget (over 3 years).
