The CCG is looking at using the Eclipse tool for targeting screening patients who require a cervical smear. Health systems who have used this tool have found the increase in patients taking up their smear appointment has increased considerable. Eclipse helps to identify those patients who are less likely to attend for a smear eg: lower geodemographic backgrounds and different cultural backgrounds. The data helps to identify patients who require additional support in order to attend their appointments.
