Eating Disorders have the highest mortality rate of any other mental illness. The prevalence of anorexia nervosa is estimated to be up to 1.7% in adolescence. Brought to you by Beds and Herts Faculty, this open-to-all brief training will focus on recognition, risk assessment and medical management of patients with eating disorders, with a focus on severe anorexia nervosa.

- Recognition and assessment of eating disorders, in particular anorexia and bulimia
- Most frequent comorbidities
- Medical risk assessment and management (including physical examination, bloods, ECG, supplements when and where to refer)
- Prevention, assessment and management of medical complications, including osteoporosis, refeeding syndrome and Wernicke encephalopathy
- Guidance on remote consultations
