This is the first in a series of webinars as part of the Tackling Cholesterol Together education programme, delivered in partnership with the AHSN Network, The Accelerated Access Collaborative and the NHS, led by key national figures in cardiovascular disease.
To meet the Long Term Plan goals for cardiovascular disease, we need to prioritise those at risk, know how to evaluate risk and use lifestyle and medication modifications to reduce risk. NICE guidance recommends we use a systematic strategy to identify risk, prioritise people for a full formal risk assessment if their estimated 10-year risk of CVD is 10% or more and use the QRISK2 risk assessment tool to assess CVD risk for the primary prevention of CVD in people up to and including age 84 years.
In this webinar we will look closely at who to use risk scores on, interpreting risk and communicating about risk assessment and treatment.
